ARMENIAN GOVERNMENT ALLOCATED FUNDS TO COMPENSATE SYRIAN ARMENIANS' TUITION FEES

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS: The Government of the Republic of
Armenia has allocated 100 million AMD to Armenian Youth Foundation
to launch project "Allocation of scholarship to students of advanced
progress and those busy with public activities of first and second
grade taking their studies in high education institutions of the
Republic of Armenia".
60 million AMD out of the scheduled 100 million is set to be given to
Armenian students for tuition fee reimbursement and 40 million AMD
to Syrian students for tuition fees . As Armenian Youth Foundation
Information and Public Relations department informed Armenpress, the
launch of the project will promote the accessibility of education,
which had a positive influence on young to build the future.
It is the third year Armenian Youth Foundation implements the project.
In the course of 2011 over 600 students have received such assistance,
their number got 750 in 2012. In the near future Armenian Youth
Foundation will declare procedure of participating in the contest.
Syrian Armenian students will get their tuition aid in two weeks.
