YEREVAN.- Armenian authorities should allow people make a free choice,
former MP Anahit Bakhshyan said commenting on upcoming presidential
elections.
"I am trying to be optimistic and, somehow, give people hope," she
told reporters on Tuesday.
However, former MP and member of Heritage Party said Armenian society
is in hopeless and desperate condition.
"In all societies, the government and the opposition complement each
other, but this is not the case in Armenia. The opposition should be
the nervous system of the body to warn of any danger," she emphasized.
Speaking about the upcoming presidential elections, Bakhshyan noted
that, despite the fact there are no grounds for optimism, the leader
of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian is the only worthy candidate as
"he is very honest and loyal to the country."
