Baku. Malahat Najafova - APA. "The results of possible accident at
Armenia's Metsamor nuclear power plant may be harder than the
consequences of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," said the executive
director of NATO International School of Azerbaijan (NISA) Huseyn
Panahov at the training on the theme of "Environmental safety,
man-made and natural disasters in Azerbaijan: international exchange
of experiences".
He said that the main activity of the organization is focused on the
investigation of conflicts: "The jeopardy may be caused not only by
contradictions between countries and groups, but also by the natural
disasters. About 100 million people will die due to the aftereffects
of climate changes in the coming 20 years. Therefore, it is necessary
to pay more attention to the events happening in the environment."
Note that, the training at the Information Resource Center of
Azerbaijan University of Languages is jointly organized by NATO
International School of Azerbaijan (NISA) and the Romanian Embassy in
Azerbaijan.
