ARMENIAN MILITARY SERVICEMEN PAY AN INSPECTION VISIT TO KARS AND IGDIR

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Within the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in
Europe (CFE), an inspection group of the Armenian Defense Ministry
paid a visit to Republic of Turkey on November 26-December 3.
14th mechanized infantry brigade of the 9th army corps of the 3rd
field army of Turkey (Kars) and 5th border regiment of the 1st
motorized infantry brigade were inspected, Mediamax was informed in
the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry.
The inspection group held briefings with the commanders of the above
mentioned subdivisions on the military goals, exercises and general
issues. During the inspection, geographical coordinates and schemes of
military units were specified, the number of equipment and arms
limited under the treaty (military tanks, infantry fighting vehicles,
artillery) and their presence of the researched objects as well as the
general location and borders of military unites were monitored.
The inspection didn't register any violations of the provisions of the
Treaty by Turkey.
