During his visit to Brussels Leader of Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik
Tsarukyan blamed the Armenian authorities for corruption, says the
statement by Prosperous Armenia Party on the results of Tsarukyan's
meetings in Brussels.
The statement lays the emphasis on the positive attitude of Europeans
to possible nomination of Tsarukyan for the post of president. In
particular, Vice-President of the European Parliament Alejo Vidal
Quadras Roca told Tsarukyan that he could be a good candidate
for president with his humane nature and optimisms, the Party's
spokesperson says.
"During his talk with the Vice President of the European Parliament
Alejo Vidal Quadras Roca, Gagik Tsarukyan said that it is impossible
to fight corruption if the fight is headed by the key corrupt persons,"
the statement reads.
To recall, Prosperous Armenia Party's delegation is currently in
Brussels and is having meetings with representatives of the European
political forces. Iveta Tonoyan, Gagik Tsarukyan's Spokesperson,
says that on his arrival from Brussels Tsarukyan will officially
announce his stance on the presidential election of 2013. Although,
by some Mass Media rumors, Tsarukyan has sent a message from Brussels
that he will run for president.
