I THANK ARMENIA ON AZERBAIJAN'S BEHALF - INTERNATIONAL BOXING ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT

YEREVAN. - "Members of the Azerbaijani national team and the
representatives of their delegation are satisfied by their treatment
and the world championships organized in Armenia. On their behalf,
I thank the Armenians and Armenia for the warm reception and the
warm treatment." AIBA (International Boxing Association) President
Wu Ching-kuo stated during a press conference on Friday.
The AIBA President is on hand at the finals of the AIBA Youth World
Boxing Championships Yerevan 2012, which is being held in Armenia's
capital city.
"Sport is also a symbol of peace and harmony. It is very important
that Azerbaijan's national team likewise participated in the
championships. I spoke with the Azerbaijani delegation and heard
words of satisfaction. Their safety was organized on a high level
both at the hotel and during competitions," Wu Ching-kuo said.
To note, Armenia has one boxer in the finals. Nikol Harutyunov (81 kg)
will enter the ring and face Scotland's representative for the gold
medal in his weight category.
