EDUARD SHARMAZANOV HOSTED DIRECTOR OF GERMAN AGENCY FOR INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION ARMENIAN OFFICE

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS. The Deputy Speaker of the National
Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Edvard Sharmazanov hosted Director
of the German Agency for International Cooperation Armenian Office
Dagmar Bott.
The Department of Press and Public Relations of the National
Assembly of the Republic of Armenia informed "Armenpress" that Edvard
Sharmazanov highly appreciated the cooperation of Armenia with EU
and one of its key members Germany in various spheres, and spoke
about the Armenian-German conference dedicated to the transparency
of Administration, which will be held in the National Assembly of
the Republic of Armenia.
In this respect the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly emphasized
the importance of the activity of the German Agency for International
Cooperation Armenian Office and its supporting the reforms in spheres
of local administration, public finances administration and industry.
He noted that Armenia has expressed its willingness to increase
transparency of the administration and undertook huge steps in this
direction, notwithstanding there are many things to do yet.
In turn Director of the German Agency for International Cooperation
Armenian Office Dagmar Bott expressed her gratitude for the opportunity
to hold the conference in the Conference Hall of the National Assembly
of the Republic of Armenia and qualified this friendly gesture as
a unique sign of transparency. Among other things she highlighted
the significance of the exchange of approaches, experience and
knowledge of the sides of the discussion and characterized efficient
and transparent administration as an important precondition of
international development.
