TSARUKYAN TO BE NEUTRAL ON PRESIDENTIAL RACE - PAPER

PanARMENIAN.Net - Prosperous Armenia party leader Gagik Tsarukyan
was rumored to hold a political council meeting on Dec 10, Hraparak
paper says. Tsarukyan is said to have announced a decision neither
to join the presidential race, nor to back Serzh Sargsyan.
In conversation with the paper's reporter, Prosperous Armenia spokesman
Tigran Urikhanyan said the meeting day had not been specified.
"Ex-president Robert Kocharian is expected to meet with Moscow-based
political circles Dec 2, with the discussions to affect Tsarukyan's
decision on presidency. Meanwhile, Prosperous Armenia members were
still unaware of Tsarukyan's plans following the latter's visit to
Brussels and meeting with President Sargsyan. The party itself has
split into two camps, one encouraging their leader to run for the
president, the other standing against it," the paper says.
