ARS will host a toy distribution event

GLENDALE-The Armenian Relief Society of Western USA is pleased to
announce that it will be welcoming the holiday season with a grand
"Gift Giving Event" for all children ages 3-14 on Wednesday, December
19 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the ARS Regional Headquarters, located at 517
    W. Glenoaks Blvd., in Glendale, Calif.

While in previous years, the ARS Social Services division has
spearheaded the collection and distribution of gifts to children
of needy families they service, this year the ARS will take its
efforts to a broadened level by passing out free gifts to any child
and youth that visits the Regional Headquarters on that date. "The
holiday season naturally evokes a spirit of giving within us and,
with this in mind, the ARS is committed to further brightening this
special time of the year for the children in our community," affirms
    Jasik Jarahian, ARS-WUSA General Manager.

The ARS Regional Executive Board, staff, and volunteers are hard
at work to collect gifts for distribution at this event. All those
interested in donating a new and unwrapped toy to benefit this festive
occasion are encouraged to contact the ARS Regional Headquarters at
    (818) 500-1343 or [email protected] prior to the event date.

The ARS of Western USA, established in 1984 and with regional
headquarters in Glendale, CA, has 27 chapters and more than 1,500
members in five western states. The ARS-WUSA operates a Social Services
Division, a Child, Youth, and Family Guidance Center, and funds
numerous youth programs, scholarships, and relief efforts. For further
information, please visit www.arswestusa.org or call 818-500-1343.
