POLITICIAN: LEVON TER-PETROSYAN IS THE BEST OPPOSITION SINGLE CANDIDATE

The opposition of Armenia will have a single candidate in the
person of the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan at the
forthcoming presidential election on 18 February 2013, a member
of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), Gurgen Egiazaryan, said
at today's press-conference. "The law has strictly fixed the terms
for nomination of candidates - till 4 January, we still have time,
and the opposition will undoubtedly come forward and say about its
position at the election. The opposition will have its own candidate,
and I think it will be Levon Ter-Petrosyan. I see no other candidate
for president", - he said.
He also added that the candidate of the ruling RPA Serzh Sargsyan
cannot be a serious opponent to Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Sargsyan did not
fulfill at least one out of 11 points of his electoral programme. "He
fully failed the spheres which were fixed in the programme. For
instance, according to one of them, pensioners will live better
because of the pension reforms. Find at least one pensioner which
started living better for the last 5 years, and if you do it, I shall
change ny name", - the politician said.
