Ameria Group: hotel industry to rapidly develop in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Hotel industry will become one of the developing
areas of Armenia's economy in the near future, Ameria Group's
Development Director said.
`We forecast significant growth of investments in the future,' Tigran
Jrbashyan said during a presentation of the survey on Armenia's
tourism industry and hotel service.
He further noted that the inflow of tourists to Armenia is expected to
exceed 1 mln by 2015, stressing the need to increase the number of
hotel rooms in Yerevan.
The survey revealed 1,4-fold growth of the number of beds in hotels in
the past 7 years due to the increase of the number of small hotels.
The maximum compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of international
visits totaled 25,% in Georgia, 16,7% - in Armenia and 10,5% in
Azerbaijan, with the figure proving the tourism development trends in
Armenia.
