    About the Artist
Nshan Der Kalousdian was born on October 14th 1950, in Lebanon. During
his adolescence his talent for art in paintings was recognized and led
him to study several art courses at the American University of
Beirut. Der Kalousdian, who signs his work Nshan DK, has been painting
    for over 40 years.

Growing up in the valley surrounded by farmland had a major impact on
his artwork. He depicts landscapes and farmland with emotion that
presents a sense for the people living that life. Majority of his work
is in oils and acrylics, but more recently, he has been using
    watercolors as his medium.

Der Kalousdian taught math and physics in various secondary schools in
Lebanon for many years. In 1978, he immigrated to the United States
with his wife Arous. They were blessed with 3 children: Movses, Ara
and Maral. He currently resides in Fresno, California.
