PATRICK DEVEDJIAN ELECTED FRENCH PARLIAMENT MP

    10:28, 19 December, 2012

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS: Patrick Devedjian,President of the
Council of the Hauts-de-Seine for the second time was elected French
Parliament MP. As Armenpress reports citing Nouvelles d'Armenie
, Devedjian scored win in 13th precinct during second round of
a parliamentary election by 60.03 percent of votes . His opponent
Julien Landfrid scored 39.97 of votes.

Young candidate Landfrid enjoying Socialist Party support was yielding
Devedjian only by 191 votes in the elections held in June. When
Constitutional Council canceled Devedjian's elections Landfrid loyal
forces thought they could succeed. However the last elections proved
the opposite. Our compatriot Devedjian has been elected in this
    precinct since 1988.

Armenian descent Patrick Devedjian is a French politician of the
Union for a Popular Movement (UMP) party. He was Minister under the
Prime Minister in charge of the Implementation of the Recovery Plan,
a special ministerial post created for two years after the global
financial crisis of 2008, since December 2008.
