PUTIN LOOKING FOR CANNON FODDER IN ARMENIA

Serzh Sargsyan issued an interesting statement in Moscow. He, actually,
accused Russia and Belarus of the provision of weapon to Azerbaijan,
which is not a CSTO member, while Armenia is.

This is the first public statement of Armenia of this type.

Bewilderment in connection with Russia's supply of weapon to Azerbaijan
has been voiced by experts since long, but the authorities tried not
to speak about it loudly. This is the reason why yesterday's statement
was assessed by the experts as preparations for the possible withdrawal
    of Armenia from the CSTO.

It is noteworthy that the statement was issued at the CTSO Board
session, which confirmed Uzbekistan's withdrawal from the union. It
is even more noteworthy that Vladimir Putin announced at the meeting
that the CSTO will engage in peacekeeping activities and won't allow
foreign interventions in the member states.

By the way, saying foreign intervention, Russia means the so-called
"fruit and flower" revolutions, which, according to Moscow, are
inspired by the West. One more remark - last years, Russia achieved
the adoption of the rule that CSTO member states may deploy its
peacekeeping forces without the consensus with the other members of
    the alliance.

Where is Russia going to test its peacekeepers? Is Serzh Sargsyan's
demarche connected with the understanding that the "weak link" is
Armenia? In the end, presidential elections are expected in Armenia
and Moscow sees it as a "fruit and flower revolution" since the
Armenian authorities state openly about their European orientation,
politely refusing to join the Customs Union.

So it is not ruled out that Russia will try to prevent the "fruit and
flower revolution" in Armenia failing the elections, causing actions in
Karabakh and deploying its peacekeepers there. Serzh Sargsyan evidently
understands this so he made the aforementioned bold statement.

Armenia should be ready to this scenario, including those, who "will
try to repress the not anti-Russian moods of the society". These are
Levon Zurabyan's words said to Vartan Oskanian and not rejected by
    the latter.

In Armenia there are no masses with anti-Russian moods, in other words
people who understand the danger coming from the authorities of Russia
who are obsessed with their own ambitions and who try to force the
construction of their empire. But the empire can't be built by force,
they always occurred when the metropolis offered high technologies -
social, military, industrial. What does Russia offer?

There are no anti-Russian masses in Armenia, and people are kind
towards Russia. Levon Zurabyan and Vartan Oskanian should have not
talked about the "repression of not anti-Russian masses", but about
the intention of the Russian authorities to use these masses as cannon
fodder. This already happened once five years ago.
