Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received on Thursday a number of
Syrian-Armenian businessmen specializing in different business fields.

Participating in the meeting were Armenian Prime Minister Tigran
Sargsyan, Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Minister of Economy
Tigran Davtyan, Head of the State Revenue Committee Gagik Khachatryan,
    government officials.

Opening the meeting, the Armenian leader said he was well informed
of the Syrian-Armenian businessmen's meetings at different government
agencies. However, he considers a personal meeting advisable to inform
them of Armenia's stance on the Syria situation and assistance to
Syrian Armenians. President Serzh Sargsyan is also willing to listen
to the businessmen's proposals and concerns, as well as answer their
    questions.

The businessmen inquired about the possibility of transferring
their businesses to Armenia or starting up new ones in the country,
Armenia's economic situation and investment environment and current
problems. The Armenian president instructed the relevant government
agencies to deal with the problems raised by the businessmen.

President Serzh Sargsyan assured the Syrian Armenians that it is the
Armenian authorities' duty to take care of them. "Whatever authorities
Armenia has, they all will consider this problem. This is the Armenian
authorities' duty, and the better we perform it the better is for
    everyone," the Armenian leader said.

President Serzh Sargsyan wished all the Syrian Armenians strong will
and patience. He told them about his own experience and the hardships
of the Artsakh liberation war, as well as about many other families'
    experience.
