ARMENIA-EU ASSOCIATION AGENDA TO BE DEVELOPED NEXT YEAR

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. On December 19 the 11th session
regarding the Republic of Armenia-EU Association Agreement was
held in Brussels. The Department of Press, Information and Public
Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia
informed "Armenpress" that the Armenian delegation was headed by the
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, chief
negotiator Zohrab Mnatsakanyan. The European side was represented in
the face of the Director for Eastern neighboring, Russia and Eastern
Balkans of the External Relations Directorate Gunnar Wiegand.
Within frames of the meeting the sides discussed a number of issues
regarding the format of the structure of the document, its total
and final points, as well as political dialogue, and other issues
concerning the spheres of foreign policy, security and justice.
Both sides were please to say that negotiations regarding the creation
of deep and comprehensive free trade zone have success. The third
stage of the negotiations was held in the beginning of December.
Among other things taking into consideration the palpable progress in
the negotiation procedure the sides reaffirmed their willingness to
finish the negotiations regarding the Association Agreement before the
next Eastern Partnership Summit, which will be held in Vilnius in 2013.
