Earthquake hits Georgia

A 5.8 magnitude earthquake has been registered in the Georgian
seaside, with the epicenter being 65 kilometer north-west of Georgia's
town Poti, US Geological Center reports. The earthquake was registered
5.32 pm Yerevan time.
The quake's hypocenter was in 18.7 km depth. No information about
casualties has been reported.
According to Georgian GHN news agency, the quake was felt in Georgia's
capital Tbilisi as well.
Tert.am reports the shocks were felt in Armenia's north, in Gyumri in
particular. Another earthquake was registered today in the morning in
north-west of Iran, which was felt in Armenia's Kapan and Jermuk
towns.
According to Armenia's National Seismic Protection Service, the
earthquake's strength in the epicenter made 7 magnitude.
In Armenia the quake was felt in Gyumri, Vanadzor and Tashir cities
reaching 3 magnitude and in Yerevan 2-3 magnitude.
