The Conservative Party has disseminated a statement according to which
it severed itself from Armenian National Congress. Such a decision is
linked with refusal of the leader of the Armenian National Congress
Levon Ter-Petrosyan to run for president.
"The Conservative Party is grateful to the first president of Armenia
for guiding the pan-national movement since 2007. The party will go
on fighting for establishment of Constitutional order in Armenia,
strengthening of the values of western civilization and development
of free and independent Armenia", - the statement says.
Asked by Arminfo correspondent to comment on such a decision, the
leader of the Conservative Party, Mikael Hayrapetyan, replied he will
comment on it in details in January 2013.
