ARMENIAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE OF JERUSALEM TO BE CONSISTENT IN GENOCIDE RECOGNITION

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS. Armenian National Committee
of Jerusalem highly appreciates the progress of the current year
regarding the recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Israeli Knesset.
In a conversation with "Armenpress" the official of the Armenian
National Committee of Jerusalem Hakob Sevan stated that 2012 was
a rather beneficent year for the Armenian National Committee of
Jerusalem. Hakob Sevan stated: "Our activity in Knesset was rather
efficient. Also there was a certain progress regarding the procedure of
recognition. I am hopeful that our success will grow after the Knesset
elections next year." Sevan noted that during recent years Israeli
people and the Jews in particular have been rather positively deposed
towards the Armenians and recognition of the Armenian Genocide as well.
Among other things Hakob Sevan stated: "No doubt, this found its
expression both in mass media and Knesset, and elsewhere." Armenian
National Committee of Jerusalem will keep working as diligently in 2013
as it used to work before and remain consistent in the recognition of
the Armenian Genocide. Armenian National Committee of Jerusalem will
strive to find positive solutions for both local and general issues.
