YEREVAN, DECEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. On 27 December Artsakh Republic
President Bako Sahakyan met a group of sports sphere representatives
who registered outstanding successes in 2012.
The Central Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh
President informed "Armenpress" that the President in his speech
touched upon the successes registered in the sphere and ways for
further development. Bako Sahakyan considered important the role
physical culture and sports play in both preserving and strengthening
the national gene pool and population health, upbringing the younger
generation, as well as for comprehensive development of the
individual, organization of the citizens' active rest and worthy
introduction of Artsakh to the international community.
The Head of the State congratulated the attendees on the coming New
Year and handed in financial awards to a group of sportsmen and
trainers who showed high results in 2012.
