Political analyst Andreas Ghukasyan to run for president

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS: Political analyst Andreas Ghukasyan
submitted Friday, to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of
Armenia, his formal nomination for the upcoming presidential
elections. Armenpress was informed from the Central Electoral
Commission.
The central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Armenia informed
"Armenpress" about this. The Republican Party of Armenia Leader,
President Serzh Sargsyan's documents for participation in the
presidential elections have been submitted to the Central Electoral
Commission of the Republic of Armenia on December 27. The Head of
"Union for National Self-Determination" Paruyr Hayrikyan, independent
candidate Mher Hayrapetyan and Vardan Sedrakyan submitted the whole
necessary documents to the Central Electoral Commission on December 26
The candidates must submit all necessary documents to the Central
Electoral Commission starting from December 25 till 18:00 January 4,
2013. The registration of the nominated candidates will be held on
January 4-14. The election campaign will launch on January 21 and will
last until February 16. The deadline of submitting resignations to the
Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Armenia is 18:00
o'clock February 8. The electronic votes will launch at 08:00 o'clock
on February 9 and last until 20:00 o'clock February 13.
The votes will kick off on February 18 at 08:00 and will last until
20:00 o'clock. Final results of the presidential elections will be
announced on February 25, 2013.
