The Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation
in Europe (OSCE) is the only competent body to recall France as
a mediator in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace deal, according to Roland
Kobia, the head of the EU delegation to Azerbaijan.
1news.az has quoted the European official as telling reporters in
Baku that proposals and statement on suspending France's membership in
the Minsk Group have gone very far, failing often to reflect the truth.
Kobia said the EU has no authority to intervene in the decision that
was adopted on a national level.
It comes after Azerbaijan slammed France for the bill criminalizing
the Armenian Genocide denial.
The members states the OSCE Minsk Group are France, the United States
and Russia.
