ARMENIA TO OPEN CONSULATE GENERAL IN THE UKRAINIAN TOWN OF ODESSA

YEREVAN, JANUARY 31, ARMENPRESS: Armenia to open a consulate general
in the Ukrainian town of Odessa. The cabinet will approve the bill
at the February 2 sitting, Armenpress reports, citing egov.am.
The state budget will annually allocate 7 million 904 thousand AMD
for the consulate general. Vacancy of one diplomat with a family of
three members is intended.
"The establishment of consulate general in Odessa will make the work
in the territory of Ukraine more effective, will ensure presence of
Armenia in the south-eastern regions of Ukraine which will contribute
to the development of bilateral relations and reinforcement of
trade-economic and humanitarian ties," the grounding presented by the
Foreign Affairs Ministry of Armenia presented to the government says.
