YEREVAN. - Tigran Avoyan (born in 1978) and Melsik Avoyan (born in
1968) who drowned in Lake Sevan in Armenia on Tuesday were cousins,
the head of Armenian Noratus village administration told the reporter
of Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He told that the drowned men were fishers. Commenting to the question
why they had gone out to the lake he said that maybe they were checking
the thickness of the ice.
"Maybe they were planning to fish when the ice broke and they fell
into the lake. No one can say why they went out to the lake," he said.
Tigran had three children, Melsik two.
