RUSSIA, ARMENIA TO MODERNIZE INFRASTRUCTURE ON IRAN BORDER

Yerevan, 9 February: The secretary of the Security Council of the
Russian Federation, Nikolay Patrushev, said in Yerevan today that
"the assessments of Russia and Armenia of the situation in the region
coincide".
Secretary of the Armenian National Security Council Artur Baghdasaryan
described the talks with this Russian counterpart as productive,
noting that they reached an agreement to deepen military-technical
cooperation between the two states, continue cooperation in the border
sphere and modernize the infrastructure on the Armenian-Iranian border,
Mediamax reports.
He spoke of the importance to establish an Armenian-Russian Regional
Centre for Emergencies.
