YEREVAN. - Armenia exported 9.6 million liters alcohol beverages
amounting to $132 million last year, State Revenue Committee at the
Government reports. It occupies the second position in the export
yielding only to products of copper concentrate. The export increased
by over 30% as compared to last year (it was 7.6 million liters for
$96.8 million in 2010).
The greatest export was registered in 2008, 13.6 million liters
amounting to $134 million.
Obviously the prices for beverages went up last year due to
strengthened tax control and quality of the exported products.
In comparison, 1 liter of alcohol exported from Armenia on average
cost $9.8 in 2008, $12.7 in 2012 and $13.7 last year.
In particular, wine export volumes reduced making $2.5 million,
while beer went up making $1.7 million last year.
