5th anniversary of ethnic Armenian journalist Hrant Dink, 53, gunned
down outside his newspaper's offices in Istanbul. He was well-known
for writing articles about the 1915 Armenian 'genocide' in which
as many as 1.5 million Armenian subjects of the Ottoman Empire were
allegedly killed, though Turkey officially denies the event.
Prosecutors say unemployed teenager Ogun Samast, 17, confessed to the
shooting after he was arrested the day after when his father saw CCTV
footage of his son on TV and informed the police.
Thousands expected to gather in front of the Agos Newspaper offices
in Istanbul to commemorate the anniversary
