ISTANBUL. - Archbishop Aram Ateshyan, the Armenian Deputy Patriarch
of Constantinople, filed a lawsuit so that the building known as
Sanasaryan Han (large building) be returned to Istanbul's Armenian
community.
The proceedings to this effect were filed with Istanbul's 13th
Administrative Court. Archbishop Ateshyan noted that they want from
Turkey's government to manifest goodwill, and thus the Sanasaryan
Building be returned to the Armenians, just as the historical
orphanage was returned to the country's Greek community, Hurriyet
daily of Turkey informs.
