Within the next ten days, the Amster Flowers and Biga Armenian-Dutch
joint enterprises will supply to the market the first fruit and
vegetables grown at the enterprises' recently built greenhouse,
Samvel Petrosyan, co-owner of the Amster Flowers enterprise, told
    journalists Jan. 13.

The enterprise is located in the Armavir region. Armenian President
Serzh Sagsyan visited the construction site of a mushroom house and
    a newly constructed greenhouse.

"We export disinfectants from Holland. We want to put an end to the
import of vegetables - especially tomatoes - to Armenia. Our vegetables
will be of high quality," Petrosyan said.

The newly constructed greenhouse employs 21 people, the average
monthly wages being AMD 80,000 (about US $200).

"We lack highly skilled specialists. This work requires knowledge of
    niceties," Petrosyan said.

The greenhouse occupies an area of one hectare. The construction cost
    a total of [email protected].

The Armenian president visited the enterprises during his working
    trip last April as well.
