According to the operative data of the NKR Defense Army, the
opponent's frontline subdivisions were especially active along the
line of contact of the Karabakhi-Azerbaijani forces during the first
days of the year.
On the night of December 31 and on January 1, the Azerbaijani forces
violated the ceasefire regime nearly 90 times and shot more than 1,200
times toward the Defense Army's frontline with arms of varying
diameters.
The opponent has actively violated the ceasefire regime in the past
couple of weeks as well by firing at the Armenian positions stationed
in the southeast, central and northeast with canons and sniper's guns.
The frontline subdivisions of the Defense Army, "not paying heed to
such attacks of the Azerbaijani army, continued to stay true to
maintenance of the ceasefire regime and defended the combat positions
along the frontline with confidence", reports the Defense Army's News
and Propaganda Department.
