YEREVAN. - Over 350 people, mainly citizens of Armenia, who are
to enter Russia through Georgia, cannot pass Kazbegi-Upper Lars
checkpoint because of bad weather conditions, Vzgliad reports quoting
Rustavi-2 channel.
Citizens are in Dushetsi district, Georgia, provided with products.
Armenian Embassy in Georgia representative will visit them as well.
Storm, wind and fog cover the checkpoint. Majority of citizens head to
Vladikavkaz, Russia. They will set out as soon as the weather improves.
Poor visibility, conditioned by incessant precipitations, does not
allow anti-avalanche service to observe and destroy the most dangerous
points, ITAR TASS reports.
