INCIDENTS INVESTIGATION MECHANISM AT THE LINE OF CONTACT NOT REALIZED DUE TO AZERBAIJANI POSITION

YEREVAN, JANUARY 16, ARMENPRESS: The position of the Azerbaijani
party impedes realization of the incidents investigation mechanism
at the line of contact of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan, Armenian
Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Nalbandyan noted during an annual
summarizing press conference, Armenpress reports. Such an agreement
was reached last March in Sochi during the meeting of Armenian,
Russian and Azerbaijani presidents.
~SThis agreement received full support by international community,
but it has not been brought to life up to now, as the Azerbaijani
party impedes its implementation, it also impedes the proposals on
setting up the mechanism for this purpose,~T said Mr. Nalbandyan.
According to the Minister, the Azerbaijani party voices statements
that there have not been suchlike proposals at all. ~SI think there
is no need of comments here. The Azerbaijani party isolated itself,
and stood up against international community,~T said the FM.
Mr. Nalbandyan told how during the discussion of the OSCE budget, when
the co-chairs proposed to make corresponding allocations for creation
of the mechanism, Azerbaijan was against, even threatened to apply veto
against the general budget, and showed one more time how they withstand
the agreements that are reached with their participation. ~SI hope
the negotiations will go on, and this mechanism will be realized,~T
said the Minsiter.
