YEREVAN, JANUARY 17, ARMENPRESS: On January 16, Western Armenians
Assembly organized conference in St. Sahak Church, Marseille, dedicated
to the bill penalizing the denial of the Armenian Genocide.
French parliamentarian, author of the bill Valerie Boyer, Deputy
Mayor of Marseille Didie Parakyan and others attended the conference,
Armenpress reports citing Nouvelles d'Armenie.
Addressing hundreds of participants of the conference, Valerie Boyer
said: "We cannot and we must not give up, we have not taken a final
victory yet, but there is no basis to think that the bill is possible
not to pass.
In his turn, Didie Parakyan noted that the Diaspora Ministry of
Armenia will send lawyers to Marseille. The possibilities of passing
of analogical bills in other European countries will be worked out
collaboratively with the lawyers.
