"The Georgian official has made an absurd statement far from reality,"
Deputy Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Edward Sharmazanov
said in response to the statement made by the Deputy Speaker of the
Georgian Parliament Fridon Todua in Baku the day before that "Georgia
and Azerbaijan will regain the occupied territories, as those are
their lands."
"I'd like to inform Todua that no official in Armenia has ever made
a non-correct statement in connection with the problems of a third
country.
I would advise the Deputy Speaker to get acquainted with the historic
chronicles his own people - Kartlis Tskhovreba - where it is distinctly
notes who the native nations of this region are. Both Armenians and
Georgians are mentioned in the work, whereas there is no word about
the Azerbaijanis in Kartlis Tskhovreba.
Maybe, after knowing the truth from the textbook Todua will apologize
to his neighboring people," Sharmazanov concluded.
