The strongest team of the Armenian Mountaineering and Mountain Tourism
Federation comprising 4 mountaineers will leave for Iran on January
24 to conquer the highest mountain in the country, Mount Demavend
(5671 meters).
The Armenian mountaineers qualified for the international
mountaineering championship to be held in Iran on January 25-28 after
conquering several mountains in 2011.
This year, winter championship in mountaineering will host 200
mountaineers from around 25 countries, Armenian Mountaineering and
Mountain Tourism Federation said.
