In the course of his recent visit to Moscow, Turkish Foreign Minister
Ahmet Davutoglu said the European Union has taken a double-faced
stance on the French Senate approved bill outlawing the Armenian
Genocide denial.
"If instead of France any other country - Turkey for instance - had
adopted such a law, we do not know how the EU would behave," he said,
according to the Azerbaijani news website SalamNews.az.
Davutoglu was further quoted as saying that he had been invited to
the Russian capital to attend the EU foreign ministers' session but
refused to participate in the meeting.
"I communicate with my colleagues in the EU, who say they perfectly
realize me. But instead of mutual understanding I expect them to take
steps against such double faced policies," he added.
