The newly elected President of the Federation of Turkish-American
Associations, Ali Cinar, said Tuesday that the Armenian bill adopted
at the French Senate on Monday was "unacceptable".
In a statement released Tuesday, Cinar said that they strongly
condemned the French Senate's adoption of the Armenian bill.
With this bill, France has trashed the freedom of thought and
expression, Cinar underlined.
An Armenian bill adopted at the French Senate on Monday would
criminalize the denial of Armenian allegations pertaining to the
incidents of 1915 in France with a prison term of one year and a
monetary fine of 45,000 euros.
