ISTANBUL (A.A) -January 23, 2012 -Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip
Erdogan expressed hope that France would not become a country which
contradicted its own values.
French Senate will vote on Monday a bill which penalizes denial of
the Armenian allegations on 1915 incidents with a prison term of one
year and a fine of 45,000 euro.
What French Senate is debating now is a denial of the freedom, France
has been defending so far, said Erdogan on Monday.
Erdogan said that the bill was against freedom of thought, adding that
the bill was an investment for an election which would be held in May.
