Armenian opposition bloc discusses cooperation with political forces

YEREVAN.- Political council of the opposition Armenian National
Congress (ANC) bloc held a meeting on Wednesday to discuss principles
of cooperation with other political forces.
The members also discussed ANC's participation in the upcoming
elections to local self-government bodies.
The Armenian National Congress (ANC) is an opposition bloc founded in
2008 after presidential elections. During the August 1, 2008, rally in
Yerevan the first President of Armenia and ANC leader Levon
Ter-Petrosyan announced formation of the bloc. ANC comprises 18
parties and political forces.
As a result of the May 6 parliamentary elections ANC has seven seats
in Armenia's National Assembly.
