4 factions of Armenian parliament to call representatives of
law-enforcement agencies on the carpet in connection of beating of a
military doctor in Harsnaqar

On 4 July four factions of the Armenian parliament - Prosperous
Armenia, ARF Dashnaktiutyun, Armenian National Congress and Heritage
officially applied to the speaker of the parliament Hovik Abrahamyan
with a suggestion to organize the meeting with the leaders of the
law-enforcement agencies in connection with beating of a military
doctor Vahe Avetyan in Harsnaqar restaurant.
They are going to meet the leaders of the structures which are
responsible for the investigation of the criminal case to study the
course of investigation and
clarify circumstances of the case.
To recall, on June 17, the security guards of Armenian oligarch, Head
of the Football Federation of Armenia Rouben Hayrapetyan severely beat
Major Vahe Avetyan, Head of the HENT department of the Yerevan
military hospital, as well as doctor Artak Bayadyan and Senior
Lieutenant of the Armenian Armed Forces Garik Soghomonyan in Harsnakar
restaurant owned by Hayrapetyan. Avetyan was taken to hospital and
underwent brain surgery. He died on June 29 around 7 pm.
The owner of the restaurant Ruben Hayrapetyan, an MP from the ruling
Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and President of the Football
Federation of Armenia, has put down his deputy mandate following a
meeting with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
