Herman Van Rompuy sees strong basis of Armenia-EU relations deepening

    11:32, 4 July, 2012

YEREVAN, JULY 4, ARMENPRSS: Armenian Parliament has received new
mandate to implement reforms and I am happy to be here at this moment.
About this mentioned the President of European Council Herman Van
Rompuy in July 4 during the meeting with the deputies of Armenia
    National Assembly.

`The reforms are important for the region, are important stimulus of
hope and changes. You enjoy our full support as I consider Armenia as
a partner' Armenpress reports that about this mentioned Van Rompuy. He
noticed that in the sphere of developing relations with Armenia
Armenian ambitions will be justified if they are based on peace. `For
opening the doors besides the necessary will we have to work together.
European countries became closer step by step: The countries which
were struggling against each other began to perform together and we
came to welfare' said Van Rompuy. He mentioned that EU is a system of
values and Armenia is a partner that wants to assume those values.

`The financial crisis was one of the most difficult moments of
European integration and if we manage to overcome it we will come out
more strengthened' stressed the President of European Council. He
noticed that Armenia intends to deepen cooperation with Europe which
is welcomed for EU. This brings the implementation of the principle
`More for more' Armenia can have benefits from that principle.

The greater are the ambitions and achievements the more financial and
technical support will be. `We have things to be done, joint work. I
am glad that the negotiations on Associative Agreement and creating
Free and Comprehensive Trade Area are moving forward' said Rompuy.
