Armenian military setbacks in the fighting that took place a few days
ago on the frontline, seriously alarmed official Yerevan.
The statement came from spokesman for the Defense Ministry of
Azerbaijan Eldar Sabiroglu, commenting on the statement by Armenian
Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan that Azerbaijan is allegedly
trying to hinder negotiations on the Karabakh conflict and involve
Armenia into an armed conflict, as well as his appeals to the
international community "to put pressure on Azerbaijan".
"Ohanyan said nothing new, but once again repeated his false
allegations. The reaction of the Armenian minister evidences that the
Armenian side is very concerned about the situation at the contact
line", said Sabiroglu.
As to Ohanyan's appeals to the international community, according to
Sabiroglu, Armenia should clarify for themselves that they will
achieve nothing by doing so.
"Time works against Yerevan", he said.
The spokesman said that the enemy is seriously concerned about the
consolidation of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
"We have achieved quite great progress in this direction, and this
issue will remain an important agenda in Baku unless Armenia ceases
occupation of Azerbaijani territories", he said.
The spokesman advised the Armenian minister to think more about how to
feed their soldiers and hear the voices of their parents, instead of
clinging to useless issues.
