FRENCH ARMENIANS DUE TO MEET WITH FRANCE'S PRESIDENT

French Armenian community representatives are to meet with President
of France Francoise Holland to discuss drafting a bill penalizing
the denial of the Armenian Genocide.
According to Dunya Bulteni, the Armenian community is going to remind
Holland of his promise given to the Armenian community connected with
the bill.
A delegation has been formed to attend the meeting. Armenian-French
relations will too be in the focus of the meeting.
French parliament recognized the Armenian Genocide in 2001. On January
23, 2012 it has adopted a bill penalizing the denial of the Armenian
genocide but the Constitutional Council of France recognized the
bill unconstitutional.
