Army officer who attempted to blow up Harsnakar restaurant sentenced
to two months in jail

The trial court of Yerevan's Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeitun communities
has sentenced Lieutenant Colonel Vardan Samvelyan to two months in
jail for attempting to blow up Harsnakar restaurant.
Samvelyan tried to blow up Harsnakar July 1 night in protest of the
murder of 33-year-old Vahe Avetyan.
To remind, Avetyan was beaten in Hrasnakar by the security guards of
oligarch MP Ruben Hayrapetyan, the owner of the restaurant, and died
in hospital two weeks later.
