    Armenian scandalous MP formally applied for mandate withdrawal

    YEREVAN. - Armenian MP from the Ruling Republican Party (RPA), the
    President of the Armenian Football Federation Ruben Hayrapetyan, who
    owns Harsnakar restaurant, where a military doctor has been beaten to
    death by the security staff, filed a statement of renunciation of
    parliamentary mandate on Wednesday, the spokesperson of Armenia's
    Parliament Speaker Gohar Poghosyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

    According to Parliamentary regulations, during the next Parliament
    Seating the speaker will made public his statement of renunciation and
    if Hayrapetyan does not change his mind in 15 days he will lose his
    parliamentary mandate.

    To note, the next Parliament Session is scheduled for September 10 and
    if an extraordinary session is not held before that than his
    renunciation will be published on that day.

    As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, Ruling Republican Party of
    Armenia (RPA) influential MP, head of the Armenian Football
    Federation, big businessman and owner of Harsnakar restaurant Ruben
    Hayrapetyan withdrew his MP mandate because of the incident in his
    restaurant when his security guards beat up military doctor Vahe
    Avetyan. Vahe Avetyan died on June 29.
