`There is no military solution to the Karabakh issue,' Special
Representative in Caucasus and Central Asia of NATO Secretary General
of James Apaturai told reporters, Regnum reports.
`NATO stands for peaceful settlement, as the stability in the Caucasus
is extremely important for the Alliance,' he declared.
Asked to comment on the decision of the United States to ban the sale
of weapons to Azerbaijan, James Apaturai said `the Alliance does not
interfere with the individual policy of its members.'
