05 July 2012 [19:37] - TODAY.AZ
Turkey has lifted all sanctions adopted previously against France,
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, who is visiting Paris, said,
TRT Haber reported on Thursday.
Relations between Turkey and France deteriorated after the decision of
the French Senate to pass a bill criminalising the denial of the
so-called "Armenian genocide"
The French Constitutional Court then gave a judgment repealing this law.
Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that the predecessor of the
Turkey - Ottoman Empire had committed the 1915 genocide against the
Armenians living in Anatolia, and achieved recognition of the
"Armenian Genocide" by the parliaments of several countries.
