Armenia seeks to strengthen relations with Russia - FM
YEREVAN July 5
Russian presidential special envoy for relations with the CIS
countries, head of the Federal Agency for the CIS Affairs, Compatriots
Living Abroad and International Cooperation, Konstantin Kosachev, met
Armenian Foreign Minister Edvard Nalbandyan on Wednesday, July 4, for
talks on the dynamical development of relations between both
countries, the Foreign Ministry reported.
"Cooperation between the two countries develops actively and
regularly. The countries join efforts to step up economic,
inter-parliamentary and inter-regional cooperation and create a solid
legal base," Nalbandyan stressed. In his view, "this will lay a good
foundation for strengthening bilateral relations."
The Armenian minister noted "special importance of the development of
humanitarian relations".
Kosachev and Nalbandyan also discussed cooperation within the CIS.
