An Action in Memory of Military Physician Vahe Avetyan

Early in the morning on July 3 on the initiative of the Central Board
of the ARF Youth Union of Artsakh more than a dozen young people
gathered at the military hospital of Stepanakert for an action in
memory of military physician Vahe Avetyan who died several days after
being cruelly beaten at the restaurant `Harsnakar' in Yerevan.
The participants of the action near the military hospital of
Stepanakert, who lit candles in memory of Vahe Avetyan on the spot,
carried posters with slogans `The trial for Vahe Avetyan's homicide is
the trial of Armenia', `We want to have law-governed Armenia' and some
others.
Representative of the Central Board of the ARF Youth Union of Artsakh
Vahagn Dadayan in his interview to Karabakh-open.info said that the
action aimed to prevent such kind of disgraceful crimes which do not
fit the Armenian nation.
`Our nation must stand as a demander being well aware of its rights
and liabilities. It is extremely important not to create the wrong
impression as if the state is in private ownership of the oligarchs.
Whereas the state and its authority belong to our people who proved it
so many times by standing in defense of our motherland. Now the time
is ripe for the state and the government to show the same attitude
towards our people,' said V. Dadayan and added that first of all owner
of the `Harsnaqar' restaurant Rouben Hayrapetyan should no longer be a
deputy of the RA NA for the simple reason that the representative of
the legislative power should be a law obedient person.
According to action participant Alyona Dadayan those who are guilty of
Vahe Avetyan's death must be punished properly.
