YEREVAN, JULY 7, ARMENPRESS: There is no alternative to peaceful
settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the use of force and
status-quo are not favorable for the settlement of the conflict.
Armenpress reports that about this declared Foreign affairs minister
of Lithuania Audronius Azubalis. `Last year Lithuania as a Chairman
country in OSCE closely cooperated with OSCE Minsk Group. We are
concerned about the last incident son Armenian-Azerbaijani border'
declared Azubalis.
He reminded that in Vilnius the Council of Foreign ministers of OSCE,
Co-Chairs of Minsk Group, Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers
made arrangement to continue the negotiations in the framework of OSCE
Minsk Group and reach the settlement of the conflict with the help of
negotiations. `We fully support the cooperation with OSCE Minsk Group
which remains to stay the main format of the negotiations' highlighted
Azubalis.
The minister noticed that the latest incidents on the border created
concern which proves the importance of investigation mechanisms for
such incidents which was suggested by OSCE.
In his words the sides must make efforts according to Madrid Proposals
in order to reach consensus which is the basis for keeping the peace.
